HTML5 Forms have a long, winding road to modern browsers. Many now support some part of HTML5 Forms, but few (if any) really offer broad, complete support. As a result, HTML5 Forms are best suited for improving mobile experiences (where support is more universal).
That said, JavaScript polyfills can be used to help fill the gap as browsers add more native support for HTML5 forms features.
